Volunteering

HBYP provides its members with meaningful volunteer opportunities that directly impact the community. Believing that the next generation of leaders becomes more invested in the community through active involvement, HBYP serves as a platform for learning about community needs and taking tangible steps to make a difference. By participating in volunteer initiatives organized by the HBYP, members gain firsthand insight into the challenges faced by the community and contribute towards sustainable solutions. These experiences not only enrich individual skill sets but also foster a deeper sense of responsibility towards community welfare, nurturing a generation of leaders committed to effecting positive change.

Committees

The backbone of our organization lies in the dedicated members of the HBYP committees. These individuals invest significant time to ensure the smooth functioning of HBYP. Our organization is composed of four crucial committees: Programming, Finances & Fundraising, Membership, and Public Relations. Each committee aims to organize activities and engage in community outreach initiatives that cater to diverse interests, both within and beyond our current membership base.

Encouraging every member to contribute their talents and ideas, our goal is to foster a comfortable and professional environment where individuals can learn from one another. Joining a committee provides a platform to develop leadership skills and actively shape the trajectory of HBYP. For those eager to deepen their involvement and take on leadership roles, participating in a committee serves as an invaluable starting point. It's the perfect opportunity to play a pivotal role in realizing HBYP's full potential.

Education

HBYP is dedicated to providing the region’s next generation of leaders with essential resources for personal and professional development. To help its members embark on a journey of growth, leadership, and self-discovery, one of HBYP’s objectives is to create educational programming, such as our speaker series, to future develop workplace and community-building skills.

By participating in educational activities with peers outside of the office, attendees will be able to exchange ideas, tap into other’s knowledge, and hone valuable skills. One goal of our educational programming will be more knowledgeable and confident young professionals in the region who are motivated to lead and serve their community. Other results include the formation of new networks and partnerships, a workforce that wants to remain in the Ohio Valley, and the creation of attractive opportunities for new professionals considering moving to the area.
